Extraordinary pension supplement: What are the values?
The extraordinary supplement will be paid with pensions on October 8th and its value depends on the pensions already received.
How much can a pensioner receive from an extraordinary supplement?
The extraordinary pensions supplement is an supplement approved by the Government in August, which will be paid on October 8th.
The values range between 100 and 200 euros and will come along with the October pensions, according to Social Security.
"The supplement is paid to pensioners with pensions due until September 30, 2024, including disability, old-age, and survivor pensioners from the social security system, pensioners from retirement, reform and survivor of the CGA, and pensioners from the banking sector," reads in a publication from Notícias ao Minuto. The amount of the supplement to be received will be determined by the sum of the value of all pensions received, that is:
- 200€ when pensions have a total value equal to or less than 509.26€;
- 150€ for pensions of total value greater than 509.26€ and equal to or less than 1018.52€;
- 100€ for pensions with a total value greater than 1,018.52€ and equal to or less than 1,527.78€.
